Recognition for Commitment to Training & Development

De-Ugonec Services has recently been awarded a highly commendable award for its consistent commitment to employee training and development at the recent Engineering Construction Industry Training and Development Awards, held by the ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board). The award goes to the registered company of 100 employees or fewer (excluding contractor labour) who regularly and consistently commit to training. De-Ugonec Services were nominated for their commitment to training in the SME Commitment and Achievement Award category and received the runner-up award against two other finalists.

The awards took place on the 26th April at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London and are the first awards held by the ECITB. The event brought together people from across the engineering construction industry to celebrate excellence in training carried out in the Country . Liz Bonnin, BBC’s presenter of Bang Goes The Theory hosted the awards.

According to the ECITB, the rate of training and development, already crucial in this strategically important industry, is set to grow, as the industry grows significantly to meet the demand for new energy infrastructure. The highly skilled workforce will need to increase dramatically over the next 5 – 15 years.

De-Ugonec Services signs ECITB Skills & Training Charter

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering company De-Ugonec Services has signed up to an industry-wide skills and training charter in order to support the sustainability and future of the Country engineering and construction industry.

The skills and training charter formed by The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), is an initiative aimed at developing the industry’s workforce, ensuring that they have the right skill set for the future and for the industry’s changing environment. The initiative is focused on improving and supporting training, development and apprenticeships.
