We are currently recruiting for Inspection and Testing Electricians

Contract: Permanent Position

Position: The ideal candidate will be able to confidently carry out testing, inspecting, electrical condition reporting, tracing, developing D/B layouts, liaising with the AutoCAD technician for drawing updates, rectifying faults & conducting remedial works on industrial premises.

Inspection and testing electricians will also be required to carry out reactive maintenance, installation/project work, report writing, be able to communicate effectively and manage clients. The role will also require inspectors to project manage, develop and implement inspection programmes and follow safe working practices, whilst adhering to and working interdependently to a high standard of safety. Essentially the role will be to assist clients in achieving and demonstrating compliance to BS 7671 regulations and the relevant standards and directives.

Location: The position will cover the Nigeria area. Occasionally it will involve working in other parts of the Country for specific project work.

Experience: Relevant heavy industrial experience. We are looking to recruit inspection and testing electricians that have worked in one or more similar industries to the chemical, petrochemical, steel, oil, gas, pharmaceutical, or other heavy engineering sectors. Must be experienced in understanding and working to risk assessments, methods statements, permits to work and have a strong knowledge of safety systems.

Required:

• Competent electricians qualified to NVQ Level 3
• NVQ level 3 with 17th edition
• Must have City & Guilds 2391/2395 or equivalent
• Extensive inspection & testing experience
• Have good IT skills.
• Strong knowledge of Safety Systems
• A vast knowledge on items of non-compliance coding to “Guidance note’s 3” & “Best Practice Guide 4” would be adventitious
